M.K. Stalin condemned Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids against former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, describing them as part of a pattern of central agencies being used against opposition leaders. He also said the raids undercut earlier claims by some Congress leaders that Vijayan had been spared by the BJP.

Strongly condemn the Enforcement Directorate raids directed against former Kerala Chief Minister Com. @pinarayivijayan.
Such actions once again raise serious concerns over the growing pattern of central agencies being weaponised against Opposition leaders.
Incidentally, this also exposes the hollowness of the reckless allegations made by some Congress leaders who repeatedly questioned why Pinarayi Vijayan had “not yet been targeted by the BJP”!

M.K. Stalin strongly condemned raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of the CPI(M). Stalin said the action reflects a recurring pattern of central investigative agencies being 'weaponised' against opposition political leaders, a criticism DMK and other opposition parties have repeatedly levelled at the Union government. He further argued that the raids expose the hollowness of allegations previously made by some Congress leaders, who had questioned why Vijayan had 'not yet been targeted' by the BJP-led Union government, implying an insinuation of a tacit understanding between the two. The tweet, tagged #EDraids, is framed as a defence of opposition unity and a criticism of the Union government's use of federal agencies against state-level opposition leaders, situating it within the broader Centre-State relations debate that Stalin has frequently raised.
