DMK president M.K. Stalin posed a set of pointed questions to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister regarding the state's handling of the Cauvery water dispute. He asked why the Chief Minister had not raised with the Prime Minister the Cauvery Water Management Authority's repeated rejection of Tamil Nadu's requests, questioned what the state's Water Resources Minister was doing about the issue, and asked why the government feared confronting the Karnataka government over its refusal to release water. Stalin also asked why an all-party meeting had not been convened, when the assembly's resolution against the Mekedatu Dam would be personally presented to the Prime Minister along with all-party members, and where the promised relief package for struggling delta farmers stood.
