A student named Bharathidasan says a change in Tamil Nadu's government has put his higher-education funding at risk, comparing his situation to Rohith Vemula's. DMK president M.K. Stalin says the government owes him the assistance already promised and asks the Chief Minister to say clearly if it cannot pay, so DMK and Tamil Nadu's people can cover his fees instead.

DMK president M.K. Stalin responded to a student named Bharathidasan, who said that a change in Tamil Nadu's ruling government has put his years of higher-education plans at risk and likened his situation to that faced by Rohith Vemula. Stalin said that as Chief Minister he had repeatedly assured people that the state government would meet their needs, and argued that Bharathidasan is not asking for charity but seeking a right the government had already promised him. He said a student's academic future should not be sacrificed merely because of a change in administration. Addressing the current Chief Minister, Stalin asked that if the government could not provide the funds Bharathidasan needs, it should say so openly. In that case, Stalin pledged, DMK and the people of Tamil Nadu would step in to pay the student's education fees so his studies could continue. The tweet frames the issue as a matter of governmental responsibility toward students rather than partisan politics, while placing responsibility on the sitting government to respond.
