Unveiling a visionary blueprint for national progress and regional advancement, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin on March 11, 2014, highlighted the formal release of the DMK's 2014 parliamentary election manifesto, affirming that sustainable economic development and social justice must be accorded equal priority in public policy. Stalin pointed out that the comprehensive document, drafted under the guidance of party president Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi, addresses the aspirations of all sections of society, including farmers, youth, handloom weavers, women, and marginalized communities. Key policy commitments included a nationwide waiver of agricultural loans for small farmers, establishing a national commission for welfare of unorganized laborers, reserving 33 percent of legislative seats for women, and instituting strict price control mechanisms for essential commodities. Stalin emphasized that while right-wing parties prioritize corporate enrichment and communal divisiveness, the Dravidian movement's model of development is inherently rooted in equitable wealth distribution, universal education, and communal harmony. He declared that the manifesto embodies the golden legacy of Dravidian governance, offering practical, progressive solutions for modern India. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will relentlessly fight to implement every manifesto commitment.
