(2/2) This silence reminds about her support for karseva!
Delivering a incisive critique of Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's opportunistic political maneuvering, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin on March 14, 2014, recalled her overt historical endorsement of the Kar Seva movement to expose her tactical refusal to criticize the Bharatiya Janata Party. Stalin emphasized that Jayalalithaa's current silence during the parliamentary campaign was neither accidental nor principled, but a calculated rehearsal for an opportunistic post-poll alliance with right-wing communal forces. He reminded the people of Tamil Nadu that in the 1990s, when secularism was under grave assault across India, Jayalalithaa was the sole southern Chief Minister who openly supported the Kar Seva in Ayodhya, demonstrating her inherent ideological alignment with Hindutva politics. Stalin warned religious minorities, progressive organizations, and secular voters that any vote cast for the AIADMK would ultimately serve to empower the BJP and undermine constitutional pluralism. He asserted that only the DMK, guided by the rationalist, egalitarian principles of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna, and Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi, stands as an uncompromised fortress defending secular harmony. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will never sacrifice secular values for political expediency.
