Continuing his extensive campaign roadshow through the coastal and rural stretches of Nagapattinam on March 21, 2014, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin shared visual records of the vibrant popular support received along village roads and town junctions. Stalin made several unscheduled roadside stops to interact with marine fishers, paddy farmers, rural youth, and women who greeted the caravan with traditional 'Aarti' and floral garlands. Residents shared their everyday hardships under AIADMK rule, highlighting acute drinking water shortages, decaying rural roads, and unannounced eight-hour power cuts that disrupted household life and irrigation pump sets. Stalin reminded the villagers that previous DMK administrations had consistently prioritized rural and coastal welfare through modern infrastructure, comprehensive farm loan waivers, and free electricity for agricultural pump sets. He assured the local families that the DMK will fight untiringly in Parliament to secure central developmental grants and ensure maritime safety. Stalin urged the voters of Nagapattinam to translate their affection into a historic victory for the Rising Sun symbol. He affirmed the party's unwavering dedication to public service. He affirmed that sustainable rural infrastructure and agrarian support will always remain top priorities.
