Editorial context

Addressing a massive and enthusiastic evening election rally in the historic temple and educational center of Chidambaram on March 23, 2014, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin delivered a stirring address championing social justice, agrarian welfare, and educational advancement. Stalin remarked that the vast ocean of citizens gathered under the night sky demonstrated the electorate's unshakeable determination to reject the corrupt and anti-people AIADMK regime. He pointed out that Chidambaram and neighboring agricultural belts were suffering from severe economic stagnation due to frequent electricity blackouts, neglected irrigation canals, and bureaucratic apathy toward cashew and paddy growers. Stalin recalled the monumental developmental initiatives executed under previous DMK administrations led by Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi, including granting university status to historic Annamalai University, constructing rural bridges, and establishing free electricity for agrarian pump sets. He emphasized that the DMK-led alliance represents the true progressive aspirations of Tamil Nadu, uniting subaltern forces for democratic empowerment. Stalin urged the gathered thousands to vote decisively for the Rising Sun and alliance candidates to restore progressive governance. He affirmed that Chidambaram's comprehensive welfare remains paramount. He affirmed that educational access and social justice remain the foundational tenets of Dravidian governance.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
