Needless to speak about electricity, bribery and eroding infrastructure of this government.
Delivering a scathing critique of the state's administrative decay, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin on April 2, 2014, stated that it was needless to elaborate on the pervasive bribery, severe electricity shortages, and eroding civic infrastructure that had come to define the AIADMK administration. Stalin pointed out that corruption had permeated every level of the executive machinery, from village administrative offices to the highest corridors of the state secretariat, where citizens and business owners were forced to pay extortionate bribes for basic approvals. He highlighted that while ordinary families suffered from skyrocketing bus fares, milk price increases, and property tax hikes, public infrastructure across towns and villages was left to crumble into total disrepair. Stalin emphasized that roads were filled with dangerous potholes, government hospital dispensaries lacked essential life-saving medicines, and public schools faced acute teacher shortages. He contrasted this venal misrule with the transparent, accessible, and welfare-driven administration maintained under Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Stalin urged the people of Tamil Nadu to vote overwhelmingly for the Rising Sun symbol to liberate the state from corrupt, oppressive misgovernance. He affirmed that transparent public administration remains vital for social dignity.
