Jaya's PM dreams subsides to cabinet berth, even that will also remain a dream. My interview to @newsxonline
In an exclusive interview with premier national television news channel NewsX on April 5, 2014, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin dismissed Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's inflated national political ambitions with sharp political clarity. Stalin pointed out that while Jayalalithaa initially launched her campaign with grandiose delusions of becoming the Prime Minister of India, her unrealistic rhetoric had quickly deflated to the desperate hope of securing a few cabinet berths in a post-poll coalition in New Delhi. He asserted that even this scaled-down ambition would remain an unattainable dream, as the discerning voters of Tamil Nadu were fully aware of her administration's catastrophic record of corruption, administrative paralysis, and crushing power shortages over the preceding three years. Stalin explained that the AIADMK's opportunistic posture masked a secret understanding with the BJP to escape legal accountability in pending disproportionate assets cases. He emphasized that national governance requires principled, secular leaders who respect federalism and state autonomy, not authoritarian figures who govern by whim. Stalin affirmed that the DMK-led secular front will secure an overwhelming mandate to protect Tamil Nadu's interests. He affirmed that regional autonomy and cooperative federalism remain non-negotiable principles.
