2. April 1st J says EB is under my direct supervision. Today she says it is a betrayal by opposition. Why such a loss of control in 10 days?

Editorial context

Exposing the astonishing administrative contradictions and erratic governance of the ruling dispensation, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin on April 11, 2014, highlighted Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's rapid shifting of blame regarding the state's chronic electricity crisis. Stalin pointed out that on April 1st, Jayalalithaa had proudly announced to the public that the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board was functioning under her direct personal supervision, taking total credit for managing power supplies. Yet, barely ten days later, as crippling blackouts continued to paralyze industries and households across the state, she reversed her stance, bizarrely accusing opposition parties of orchestrating a betrayal to sabotage power grids. Stalin asked how a Chief Minister could claim absolute personal control one week and then allege total administrative helplessness the next, demanding whether this reflected an alarming loss of governmental grip. He stressed that a competent leader accepts democratic accountability rather than manufacturing wild conspiracies to cover up administrative incompetence. Stalin affirmed that the electorate will not be deceived by such transparent excuses, urging citizens to vote for the DMK to restore professional, responsible governance. He affirmed that democratic leadership requires taking responsibility rather than manufacturing excuses.
