Today's campaign is for DMK's Nandagopalakrishnan at Kadalur constituency.
Leading a determined campaign across Cuddalore parliamentary constituency on April 13, 2014, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin rallied voters to secure an emphatic victory for DMK candidate K. Nandagopalakrishnan. Addressing packed gatherings of cashew cultivators, artisanal fishermen, Neyveli Lignite Corporation workers, and small traders, Stalin highlighted the urgent need for energetic parliamentary advocacy to rescue Cuddalore from severe administrative and industrial neglect. He pointed out that the AIADMK administration had completely failed to protect local coastal communities from severe cyclone damage, neglected modern cold-chain infrastructure for fishermen, and failed to resolve the environmental degradation caused by chemical SIPCOT industries. Stalin recalled the monumental welfare initiatives instituted by previous DMK administrations under Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi, including extensive disaster relief reconstruction, building permanent concrete shelters for coastal families, and protecting public sector ownership of NLC against privatization. He urged the electorate to cast their ballots on the Rising Sun symbol to restore agricultural prosperity, protect traditional fishing rights, and ensure balanced industrial growth. Stalin affirmed the DMK's enduring commitment to Cuddalore. He affirmed that safeguarding fishermen's rights and agrarian prosperity remains a sacred duty of democratic governance.
