Highlighting the destructive nature of ruling party vengeance in public policy, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin on April 16, 2014, recalled how the Madras High Court and Supreme Court had firmly struck down Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's vindictive attempts to scrap Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi's landmark Samacheer Kalvi uniform school education system. Stalin pointed out that the judicial intervention saved millions of school children from educational chaos and preserved equitable curriculum standards across all social strata. However, he lamented that while the judiciary successfully rescued the educational rights of Tamil children from political malice, it could not completely prevent the regime from mothballing the magnificent Omandurar Assembly complex through administrative trickery. Stalin emphasized that when a government prioritizes personal animosity over the welfare of citizens and the prestige of the state, development grinds to a complete standstill. He called upon voters to recognize this dangerous pattern of vindictive destruction that characterized AIADMK rule. Stalin pledged that the DMK will continue to defend progressive social legislation and constitutional institutions, ensuring that inclusive education and democratic infrastructure are preserved for future generations. He affirmed that universal quality education remains the bedrock of social justice and regional enlightenment.
