Presenting a comprehensive public audit of state administrative performance on April 22, 2014, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin systematically enumerated the AIADMK government's chronic failures across essential sectors, including electricity supply, drinking water availability, educational quality, agriculture, sanitation, and industrial infrastructure. Stalin pointed out that despite grand promises of administrative efficiency, farmers across the Cauvery delta were left destitute due to inadequate irrigation management, while urban and rural residents endured scorching summer heat without reliable electricity or clean water. He highlighted how small and medium manufacturing enterprises were shutting down operations due to crippling power shortages, causing widespread job losses for skilled and unskilled workers alike. Stalin contrasted this severe governance deficit with the landmark accomplishments of previous DMK administrations under Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi, which consistently delivered surplus energy, expanded drinking water corridors, and created robust industrial ecosystems. He urged citizens to hold the ruling party accountable for its persistent negligence and hollow announcements. Stalin reiterated that the DMK stands ready with practical, time-tested policy solutions to restore economic vibrancy, administrative responsiveness, and civic welfare throughout Tamil Nadu. He affirmed that public welfare requires proactive and accountable governance.
