DMK accepts people's judgement wholeheartedly. We will continue to service the people & society, defeat will not deter us from our vision.
Responding to the 2014 parliamentary election outcomes with exemplary statesmanship and democratic maturity, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin on May 16, 2014, declared that the DMK wholeheartedly accepts the people's verdict with utmost humility. Stalin stated that electoral victories and defeats are natural, alternating chapters in the enduring journey of a mass political movement, emphasizing that temporary electoral setbacks will never dilute the party's ideological resolve or commitment to public welfare. He expressed profound gratitude to the millions of citizens who voted for the DMK alliance, as well as the tireless cadres who campaigned with extraordinary zeal under scorching summer heat across all forty constituencies. Stalin reminded party workers that the Dravidian movement was founded not merely to capture electoral offices, but to champion social justice, eradicate caste discrimination, defend language rights, and uplift marginalized communities. He affirmed that the DMK will function as a vigilant, responsible guardian of people's interests, continuing to fight against administrative injustices, price rise, and democratic backsliding. Stalin called upon cadres to maintain high morale, rebuild grassroots solidarity, and recommit themselves entirely to selfless societal service.
