Editorial context

Extending steadfast solidarity to ambitious youth preparing for national administrative careers, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin met with a large delegation of UPSC civil service aspirants from Tamil Nadu in Chennai on July 22, 2014. Stalin listened carefully to their grievances regarding structural language biases embedded in the competitive examination format, particularly the controversial Civil Services Aptitude Test, which unfairly penalized students from regional language backgrounds. Reaffirming the DMK's unwavering support, Stalin reiterated the party's demand that the Union Government provide complete parity by allowing candidates across India to answer all exam papers in their constitutional regional languages, including Tamil. He reminded the aspirants that language should never function as a barrier to public service, emphasizing that intellectual depth and administrative leadership are entirely independent of English language privilege. Stalin recounted the DMK's historic linguistic movements, which protected non-Hindi speaking states and expanded educational opportunities for backward communities. Assuring the candidates that the DMK's parliamentary representatives would forcefully raise their legitimate demands in New Delhi, Stalin urged the aspirants to remain confident, persevering with dedication to achieve their dreams of serving the public.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
