Demonstrating his characteristic empathy and personal care toward grassroots workers, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin on July 24, 2014, traveled to Perungulathur near Chennai to visit Vijay, an active party social media volunteer undergoing medical treatment. Stalin sat beside the young party worker, enquired in detail about his ongoing clinical care, met his family members, and assured them that the party would provide complete medical and financial assistance to support his full recovery. He praised the crucial contributions of dedicated digital activists and youth volunteers, who tirelessly amplify party ideology, defend Dravidian policies against online misinformation, and connect ordinary citizens with social welfare initiatives. Stalin emphasized that the DMK is not merely an electoral organization but an extended political family built on deep mutual affection, shared loyalty, and solidarity during times of personal distress. His direct personal intervention provided immense moral strength and comfort to the volunteer's family, illustrating Stalin's accessible, caring leadership style. He directed local party office-bearers to oversee the patient's rehabilitation closely, reaffirming that the leadership will always stand firmly behind dedicated cadres serving the party with selfless devotion.
