I will thank the CM, if she responds to my questions on Aug 6, police budget session, else, will re-raise the issues in front of the public.
Preparing for crucial legislative debates on state security, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin on August 2, 2014, served notice that he would demand concrete explanations regarding deteriorating public order during the upcoming police department budget session on August 6. Stalin stated that if Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, who held the home portfolio, responded constructively to the substantive questions raised by the opposition, he would openly appreciate her accountability on the assembly floor. However, he cautioned that if the government continued its pattern of evasive rhetoric, personal attacks, and suppression of debate, he would carry every unaddressed issue directly into the public domain. Stalin noted that citizens across districts were living in increasing fear owing to unchecked extortion rings, recurring acid violence against women, and political murders that remained unsolved. He emphasized that legislative oversight was not an empty procedural ritual but a sacred constitutional duty owed to the electorate. Reaffirming the DMK's vigilant opposition stance, Stalin pledged that elected representatives would leave no stone unturned in exposing administrative apathy and demanding decisive structural reforms within the state police machinery. He reiterated that public safety brooks no administrative delay.
