Continuing his intensive tour across central Tamil Nadu, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin visited Ariyalur district on August 7, 2014, to hold comprehensive discussions with local party cadres, union secretaries, and grassroots organizers. The meeting provided an open platform for field-level workers to voice their perspectives on regional developmental challenges, specifically highlighting the problems faced by cement industry workers, cashew cultivators, and rural households suffering from inadequate public infrastructure under the AIADMK administration. Cadres also reported on local drinking water scarcity and deteriorating public healthcare services across the district's rural blocks. Stalin engaged closely with the functionaries, listening intently to their practical recommendations for rejuvenating party committees and expanding youth membership. He emphasized that genuine organizational strength is rooted in active, everyday engagement with local citizens rather than occasional electoral campaigns. Stalin instructed party workers to set up village-level grievance registers, conduct regular public outreach meetings, and actively educate residents about the progressive welfare legacy of the Dravidian movement. Expressing firm faith in Ariyalur's dedicated cadres, Stalin urged them to maintain strict discipline and spearhead grassroots mobilization for political transformation across the region.
