Continuing his intensive statewide outreach, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin arrived in Pudukkottai on August 9, 2014, to preside over a major district-level party cadres conference. The convention brought together hundreds of block leaders, panchayat functionaries, youth wing members, and dedicated grassroots cadres from across the district. Addressing the enthusiastic audience, Stalin commended the Pudukkottai party unit for its steadfast resilience and energetic public activism against the oppressive policies of the ruling AIADMK government. During the consultative session, local functionaries highlighted pressing regional challenges, including severe agricultural drought, depletion of groundwater tables, inadequate irrigation infrastructure, and the administrative failure to ensure fair crop prices for local farmers. Stalin assured the cadres that their concerns would be forcefully voiced in the legislative assembly and public forums. He emphasized that building cohesive booth-level committees is vital for securing democratic victory in future elections, urging party workers to conduct regular door-to-door outreach, listen to citizen grievances, and actively highlight the DMK's transformative welfare accomplishments, consolidating the party's grassroots base throughout central Tamil Nadu and preparing the ground for political change in the state.
