Editorial context

Continuing his intensive tour of the western region, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin attended a major party cadres conference in the industrial hub of Coimbatore on August 29, 2014. The convention brought together thousands of grassroots organizers, union representatives, small-scale entrepreneurs, and district committee members to deliberate on regional socio-economic challenges and evaluate internal party apparatus. In his keynote address, Stalin highlighted Coimbatore's critical role as Tamil Nadu's premier manufacturing and textile powerhouse, expressing profound concern over the acute industrial distress triggered by crippling daily power outages, lack of infrastructure support, and excessive taxation under the AIADMK regime. He noted that thousands of small and medium enterprises had been forced into closure or severe retrenchment due to governmental indifference and erratic industrial policies. Stalin engaged with local ward secretaries to understand organizational gaps, urging them to build vibrant bridges with industrial workers, engineering youth, and trade associations. He reaffirmed that previous DMK administrations transformed Coimbatore by setting up the TIDEL Park, flyovers, and major water supply projects, promising that the DMK will relentlessly champion the revitalization of western Tamil Nadu's industrial ecosystem.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
