Reaffirming the DMK's unwavering solidarity with war-affected Eelam Tamils, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin pointed out that TESO, under the visionary leadership of DMK President Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi, has relentlessly mobilized national and global public opinion to highlight the horrific war crimes, systematic human rights violations, and state-sponsored land expropriation suffered by Tamil minorities in the Northern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka. He stressed that sustainable peace and lasting reconciliation in the island nation can never be attained without holding perpetrators of atrocities accountable through an independent, international judicial investigation. Stalin reaffirmed that TESO's consistent resolutions demanding an internationally monitored referendum, demilitarization of Tamil civilian areas, and the immediate restoration of democratic self-governance represent the authentic aspirations of global Tamils. He pledged that the DMK will continue to exert democratic pressure upon the Union government and the United Nations to safeguard the life, liberty, and equal rights of Sri Lankan Tamils.
