Continuing his extensive statewide outreach, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin attended a comprehensive party cadres meeting in Thiruvallur district on September 10, 2014. As part of the interactive sessions, Stalin made a special effort to sit down with local college students and youth wing members, creating an open forum to listen to their career aspirations, educational hurdles, and views on state governance. The students candidly shared their concerns regarding inadequate campus placement opportunities, exorbitant private college tuition fees, outdated curriculum standards, and the acute shortage of government jobs for qualified graduates. Stalin listened intently to their inputs, noting down specific suggestions for systemic educational reform and skill development infrastructure. He assured the youth that the DMK considers student welfare central to Tamil Nadu's economic future, recalling the visionary policies implemented during previous DMK regimes, such as establishing new universities, engineering colleges, and IT corridors. Stalin urged the students to cultivate critical thinking, engage actively in democratic processes, and contribute toward social equality, promising that their valuable recommendations will directly inform the party's future policy agenda and future comprehensive youth election manifestos.
