I request officials at district & taluk levels to provide continued support for the SHG's & financial independence of TN women.
Advocating strongly for the economic empowerment of women, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin issued a formal request calling upon administrative officers at the district and taluk levels to extend uninterrupted institutional support to women's Self Help Groups across Tamil Nadu. Stalin stressed that microfinance groups and self-help collectives serve as the primary catalyst for female financial self-reliance, enabling underprivileged rural and urban women to achieve economic independence, educate their children, and participate actively in community decision-making. He observed with grave concern that administrative apathy under the ruling AIADMK government had led to severe disruptions in revolving fund releases, subsidized credit linkages, and entrepreneurial skill training programs. Stalin urged local revenue officials, project officers, and cooperative bank executives to rise above political indifference and perform their statutory duty in assisting women's micro-enterprises. He emphasized that weakening the self-help movement directly harms rural household stability and social equality. Stalin reaffirmed the DMK's unyielding commitment to women's rights, promising that the party will continue to pressure the government at all administrative levels to protect women's economic sovereignty and provide comprehensive developmental resources statewide without any delay.
