I urge Chief Minister O.Paneerselvam to act immediately and provide assistance to the farmers who are facing a huge loss.

Appealing directly to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin urged the state administration to abandon its prolonged inertia and provide immediate financial assistance to farmers who suffered devastating crop losses due to unseasonal heavy rainfall. Stalin emphasized that hundreds of thousands of agrarian families across the Cauvery delta and surrounding agricultural districts were pushed to the brink of financial ruin after submerged paddy fields destroyed months of labor and heavy personal investments. He pointed out that while the agricultural sector forms the economic backbone of Tamil Nadu, the state government had completely failed to deploy revenue teams for rapid crop loss enumeration or announce emergency financial packages. Stalin asserted that administrative responsibility demands urgent intervention rather than bureaucratic delay during natural calamities. He called upon the Chief Minister to personally inspect the inundated agricultural belts, coordinate emergency relief funds from state disaster reserves, and instruct commercial and cooperative banks to halt coercive loan recovery proceedings against distressed cultivators across all districts. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will persistently champion the cause of suffering farmers until full financial compensation and debt relief are delivered to every affected family.
