Highlighting the complete paralysis gripping the Tamil Nadu administration, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin criticized the ruling AIADMK for squandering valuable legislative time singing praises of a convicted politician while the state confronted acute developmental stagnation. Stalin pointed out that ever since the former chief minister was convicted and sentenced by a Bengaluru special court in the disproportionate assets case, administrative decision-making had ground to a total standstill. Key infrastructure initiatives remained frozen, investor confidence had plummeted, rural areas were reeling under acute agrarian distress, and no major capital project had been initiated or executed across the state. Instead of utilizing the legislative assembly to formulate urgent solutions for crippling power deficits, rising unemployment, and inflation, ministers and ruling MLAs turned the House into a theatre of sycophancy. Stalin emphasized that elected governments have a sacred constitutional mandate to serve the people rather than function as personal fan clubs for disqualified leaders. He demanded that the proxy government break its administrative inertia and take immediate measures to revive state finances and stalled developmental programs across urban and rural regions of the state.
