Exposing the vast discrepancy between grandiose governmental announcements and actual budgetary allocations, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin sharply criticized the AIADMK administration for attempting to complete its tenure through hollow promises. Stalin revealed that while schemes worth over thirty-one thousand crore rupees had been theatrically announced on the floor of the Legislative Assembly under Rule 110, corresponding budgetary allocations amounted to barely thirteen thousand crore rupees. He pointed out that hundreds of announced infrastructure projects, industrial parks, irrigation canals, and welfare schemes existed solely on paper without detailed project reports, administrative sanctions, or allocated finances. Stalin described Rule 110 announcements as a deceptive public relations gimmick designed to evade legislative debate, mislead the public, and project a false illusion of developmental activity. He noted that while developmental claims were extensively publicized through government advertisements, ground reality across districts was defined by incomplete works, stalled water schemes, and mounting public debt. Stalin demanded that the government present a detailed status white paper specifying the exact implementation status and financial expenditure for every project announced under Rule 110 before the assembly concludes its current proceedings.
