Recalling the historic developmental achievements of previous DMK administrations, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin highlighted that Tamil Nadu experienced unprecedented capital investments across manufacturing, services, and infrastructure sectors under the visionary leadership of Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Stalin pointed out that between 2006 and 2011, proactive industrial policies, single-window administrative clearances, and reliable power infrastructure attracted premier global automobile conglomerates, electronics hardware majors, and IT multinational companies to Tamil Nadu, creating lakhs of high-quality employment opportunities for educated youth. Major industrial corridors from Sriperumbudur to Coimbatore and Madurai were established, transforming the state into the Detroit of South Asia and a leading export powerhouse. In stark contrast, under four years of AIADMK misrule, policy paralysis, chronic electricity shortages, and bureaucratic inertia had choked industrial growth, resulting in factory shutdowns, stalled infrastructure projects, and catastrophic capital flight to neighboring states. Stalin emphasized that genuine developmental vision requires proactive leadership, institutional integrity, and long-term planning. He reaffirmed that the DMK remains the true champion of industrial expansion and economic progress, pledging to restore Tamil Nadu's preeminent global investment stature upon returning to power.
