It is the govt's duty to address their employee's grievances. Soon TN will have a govt that cares for its employees.
Highlighting the fundamental obligation of elected governments to listen to their workforce, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin criticized the AIADMK administration for its callous indifference toward striking public employees. Stalin asserted that government personnel, transport workers, teachers, and municipal staff form the indispensable operational backbone of public administration, ensuring that state services reach the farthest corners of Tamil Nadu. When employees are forced to take to the streets over legitimate grievances regarding fair wage revisions, pending pension dues, and safe working conditions, an empathetic government must immediately initiate constructive dialogue rather than deploying administrative intimidation. He condemned the ruling regime's autocratic attitude, noting that treating public servants with hostility demoralizes the entire administrative machinery and severely disrupts civic life. Stalin recalled that previous DMK administrations led by Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi consistently treated government employees as partners in development, implementing pay commissions promptly and restoring accrued benefits. He assured public sector workers that the prevailing climate of suppression would soon end, promising that the DMK will establish a compassionate administration that respects worker rights and resolves public employee grievances with utmost fairness, institutional dignity, and speed.
