We demand a CBI enquiry into the 1 lakh crore sand mining scam & connections between V.V.Minerals & companies associated with Jayalalitha.

Demanding an immediate and comprehensive investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the staggering one-lakh-crore-rupee illegal beach sand mining scam, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin called for probing financial links between mining cartel V.V. Minerals and commercial entities associated with AIADMK supremo J. Jayalalithaa. Stalin pointed out that despite repeated official reports submitted by district collectors confirming massive unauthorized mining beyond leased boundaries, the state government had consistently sabotaged enforcement and shielded the mining lobby. He highlighted that investigative findings pointed to intricate financial networks connecting key mining promoters with media companies and shell corporations linked to the ruling party's top leadership. Stalin argued that because state investigative agencies were completely subservient to ruling political interests, only an autonomous CBI probe monitored by the High Court could uncover the truth. He emphasized that the loot of public mineral resources represented one of the largest natural resource scandals in independent India, robbing the state exchequer of critical development revenue. Stalin affirmed that the DMK would relentlessly pursue the matter in courts and before the public until the illicit nexus is completely dismantled and looted wealth is recovered.
