Marking his sixty-second birthday on March 1, 2015 with dedicated community service, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin inaugurated a massive statewide voluntary blood donation campaign organized by the DMK Youth Wing across Tamil Nadu. Centered on the inspiring rationalist motto of one race and one blood, Stalin highlighted that donated blood transcends all artificial divisions of caste, creed, religion, and social status, saving human lives purely through scientific solidarity. Thousands of energetic youth, party functionaries, and civic volunteers gathered across blood donation camps in Chennai and district headquarters to donate blood for government hospital blood banks and trauma centers. Stalin remarked that meaningful political leadership is defined by constructive public service rather than ostentatious celebrations. He recalled that the Dravidian movement has always advocated scientific temper, rationalism, and universal brotherhood, dismantling centuries of divisive orthodoxy. By channeling birthday goodwill into a life-saving healthcare mission, the initiative helped replenish critical blood stocks for underprivileged patients, expectant mothers, and emergency surgical cases. Stalin commended the youth volunteers for their selfless altruism, urging them to continue organizing regular humanitarian initiatives to strengthen community healthcare across Tamil Nadu.
