Releasing his official policy pledge on the occasion of International Women's Day, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin articulated a comprehensive vision for advancing gender justice, economic empowerment, and physical security for women across Tamil Nadu. Stalin recalled that the Dravidian movement has always been at the forefront of feminist transformation, from pioneering equal property rights for women under Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi to establishing 33 percent reservations in local self-governments. In his pledge, Stalin committed the DMK to enacting stringent legal and policing mechanisms to combat escalating sexual violence, domestic abuse, and dowry harassment across the state. He outlined targeted programs to revitalize women's Self-Help Groups with enhanced microfinance subsidies, interest-free enterprise loans, and specialized vocational training to ensure household financial independence. Stalin also stressed the vital necessity of achieving thirty-three percent representation for women in Parliament and state legislative assemblies, urging the Union government to pass the long-pending reservation bill without further obstruction. Concluding his message, Stalin affirmed that women's emancipation forms the cornerstone of Dravidian ideology, pledging to tirelessly build an equitable, dignified society where every woman thrives without fear.
