Denouncing the AIADMK's opportunistic support for the union government's contentious Land Acquisition Amendment Bill in Parliament, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin accused both regimes of adopting an overtly anti-farmer stance. Stalin pointed out that the proposed legislative amendments sought to eliminate mandatory landowner consent and social impact assessments, paving the way for the forcible takeover of fertile multi-crop agricultural lands by private corporate interests. He expressed deep outrage that while peasant organizations and opposition parties across the country were united in resisting this predatory legislation, the AIADMK had subserviently voted with the ruling NDA in the Lok Sabha. Stalin declared that the AIADMK's actions completely unmasked its hollow claims of being a pro-poor administration, proving that it was willing to compromise agrarian survival to appease central power centers. He reaffirmed that the DMK stands irrevocably with farming communities, vowing to intensify grassroots agitations, village-level campaigns, and legal challenges against the bill. Stalin asserted that agricultural land represents the lifeblood of food sovereignty, warning that no government attempting to dispossess cultivators would escape the righteous democratic wrath of Tamil Nadu's farming fraternity.
