Sharply condemning the repeated postponement of the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin warned that the state's global reputation as a premier manufacturing destination had been severely tarnished. Stalin observed that international investors and domestic business houses were losing confidence in the state's economic leadership due to persistent policy paralysis, chronic electricity deficits, and governance inertia. He pointed out that while global manufacturing giants and automobile conglomerates were actively expanding across neighboring Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, Tamil Nadu was failing to retain existing industrial investments. Stalin attributed this alarming economic stagnation directly to the autocratic functioning and lack of strategic vision characterizing the ruling AIADMK regime. Under previous DMK administrations, proactive industrial roadmaps, dedicated single-window clearances, and dependable power infrastructure had transformed Tamil Nadu into India's automobile and electronics manufacturing capital. Stalin lamented that four years of AIADMK misrule had squandered these hard-earned industrial gains, driving away lucrative job opportunities for educated youth. He demanded that the state leadership acknowledge its failures and enact transparent, investor-friendly reforms to halt ongoing economic deterioration and revive genuine investor trust across Tamil Nadu.
