Highlighting the Madras High Court's sharp reprimand of the Tamil Nadu government for failing to dispose of citizen representations despite repeated judicial reminders, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin slammed the AIADMK administration for rampant bureaucratic insensitivity. Stalin pointed out that citizens across districts were routinely forced to approach the judiciary even for basic administrative entitlements, civic amenities, and statutory inquiries due to total paralysis in government departments. He emphasized that the primary responsibility of an elected government is to listen proactively to public grievances and resolve them in a prompt, transparent manner. Instead, under the AIADMK regime, thousands of formal petitions submitted by aggrieved citizens, social activists, and grassroots organizations remained completely ignored in bureaucratic files. Stalin noted that when judicial intervention becomes the sole mechanism to compel executive compliance, it exposes the complete collapse of administrative accountability. He recalled that past DMK administrations maintained strict oversight mechanisms, holding regular grievance redressal camps and mandating time-bound resolutions. Stalin urged the government to heed the High Court's strictures, overhaul public grievance channels, and ensure accountable administrative responses to civic petitions without forcing citizens into prolonged legal battles.
