On May Day I would like to express solidarity with all the workers whose blood, sweat and tears have shaped India’s economic destiny.

Editorial context

Extending warm May Day greetings to the working class on International Workers' Day, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin expressed heartfelt solidarity with the millions of laborers whose blood, sweat, and tireless efforts drive the economic destiny of India. Stalin emphasized that the economic prosperity of the nation rests entirely upon the foundational contributions of factory workers, agricultural laborers, construction personnel, and informal sector employees. He recalled that the Dravidian movement, guided by the egalitarian philosophies of Thanthai Periyar and Perarignar Anna, has always prioritized working-class dignity, fair wages, safe occupational environments, and social security. Under past DMK administrations, landmark welfare boards were instituted for unorganized workers, ensuring pension rights, healthcare access, and educational assistance for their children. Stalin expressed deep concern over regressive labor law changes and casualization of employment that threaten hard-won industrial rights. He pledged that the DMK would continue to champion progressive labor standards, collective bargaining entitlements, and equitable wealth distribution. Stalin called upon working people across all trades to stand united in safeguarding their democratic rights and securing a prosperous, dignified future for all working families.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
