DMK treasurer M.K. Meanwhile, the Jayalalithaa government remained entirely insulated from the acute suffering of impoverished families, daily wage laborers, and unemployed youths struggling under skyrocketing commodity prices.

Stalin declared that 'We, the people, demand justice' was not merely a campaign slogan, but the collective cry of a betrayed electorate.
