DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin issued a passionate public appeal on July 17, 2015, inviting citizens, youth, industrial workers, farmers, and party cadres to participate in the mammoth 'Needhi Ketkum Perani' (March Demanding Justice) scheduled for July 18 at 3:00 PM in Cuddalore. Stalin emphasized that the march represented an urgent democratic imperative to hold the authoritarian AIADMK administration accountable for four years of developmental neglect and institutional deterioration.

Stalin highlighted the acute socio-economic hardships afflicting Cuddalore district, pointing out that local communities were suffering from toxic industrial pollution emanating from the SIPCOT chemical complex without state regulatory oversight. In addition, repeated cyclone disasters had caused immense damage to standing agricultural crops and coastal fishing hamlets, yet the state government had failed to disburse promised rehabilitation packages or repair damaged flood embankments, leaving vulnerable populations completely defenseless.

Stalin asserted that peaceful mass mobilization is the most potent weapon in a constitutional democracy to awaken an indifferent executive. He urged all conscientious citizens to join the peaceful march and collectively voice their demand for justice, equitable welfare, and accountable governance across Tamil Nadu.
