DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin delivered a stirring address at the mammoth 'Vidiyal Meetpu Perani' rally in Tiruppur on September 5, 2015, administering a solemn collective pledge to remove four years of administrative darkness, institutional decay, and economic destruction inflicted by the AIADMK government. Stalin declared under the slogan #MudiyatumVidiyatum that the DMK was committed to ushering in a luminous new dawn of social justice, industrial prosperity, and democratic integrity across Tamil Nadu.
Stalin highlighted the systematic collapse of governance across key developmental sectors, pointing out that daily wage workers, farmers, handloom artisans, and educated youth had been pushed into acute distress by arbitrary policies, runaway inflation, and rampant corruption. Instead of supporting industries, the ruling regime had prioritized liquor revenue through expanding state-run TASMAC shops, destroying hundreds of thousands of working-class families and impoverishing vulnerable households.
Stalin asserted that the mammoth assembly in Tiruppur represented the collective conscience of Tamil society rising against misrule. He pledged that the DMK will dismantle bureaucratic corruption, revive manufacturing industries, implement total prohibition, and establish an accountable government responsive to ordinary citizens across the state.
