Spending an intensive day of participatory civic engagement in the heritage city of Madurai, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin held wide-ranging discussions with diverse stakeholder groups during his Namakku Naame tour. Meeting representatives of the Madurai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Stalin reviewed the severe industrial bottlenecks impeding southern Tamil Nadu, including delayed airport runway expansion, inadequate logistical corridors, and sluggish investment in information technology parks. Business leaders emphasized that south Tamil Nadu possessed immense commercial potential that remained untapped due to administrative inertia in the state secretariat.

Later in the day, Stalin met energetic delegations of college students and young entrepreneurs, who presented innovative proposals for technological modernization, environmental sustainability, and educational reform. He also interacted with hundreds of women self-help group members who demanded revolving credit funds and marketing outlets for their handcrafted products. Commending the creativity and enterprise of Madurai's youth and women, Stalin promised that a progressive DMK government would establish a dedicated industrial development corridor in southern Tamil Nadu, translating youth innovations into practical governance initiatives that drive equitable economic prosperity, job creation, and modern infrastructure across southern districts.
