Culminating the highly successful initial phase of his groundbreaking Namakku Naame grassroots tour on Gandhi Jayanti in October 2015, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin concluded a comprehensive multi-district campaign in the central hub of Tiruchirappalli. Across sixty assembly constituencies spanning southern and central Tamil Nadu, Stalin had interacted directly with hundreds of thousands of citizens from all walks of life. In Tiruchirappalli, Stalin held impactful dialogues with public sector workers from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and state transport corporation employees (TNSTC), who shared concerns regarding disinvestment threats, pension fund diversions, and stagnant wages. He also met with small-scale fabrication industrialists, rice mill owners, delta farmers, and indigenous tribal groups from the Pachamalai hills. Stalin observed that across every sector, citizens voiced acute frustration with the corruption, inefficiency, and inaccessibility of the AIADMK government. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the public for their overwhelming, emotional reception, affirming that the empirical insights gathered during Phase 1 had revitalized the party's programmatic vision. Stalin declared that the DMK was fully prepared to lead a popular democratic resurgence to restore integrity, social progress, and equitable development to Tamil Nadu.
