Marking the fourth day of his extensive grassroots campaign in Erode district in October 2015, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin conducted an intensive series of participatory dialogues with diverse socioeconomic and religious communities. Meeting with turmeric and sugarcane farmers along the Bhavani river belt, Stalin discussed agricultural distress, market pricing challenges, and the urgent need for cold storage facilities. Inland fishermen shared their difficulties concerning drying riverbeds, lease auctions, and dwindling freshwater catch, while representatives of Women's Self-Help Groups described how micro-credit programs were neglected under AIADMK rule. Stalin also met with Islamic religious leaders and community elders, discussing minority welfare protections, educational scholarships, and communal harmony, reaffirming the DMK's steadfast commitment to secularism and social justice. Finally, engaging with university students and young jobseekers, Stalin emphasized the party's focus on creating local industrial jobs and modernizing higher education. He affirmed that these comprehensive community consultations would directly inform the DMK's progressive election manifesto, ensuring that governance responded genuinely to the real aspirations of every section of society across Tamil Nadu and promote inclusive economic prosperity, social harmony, and communal peace for all citizens.
