Embarking on the crucial third leg of his historic statewide mass contact campaign in late October 2015, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin launched Phase 3 of Namakku Naame from the industrial and agrarian hub of Salem. Following the massive success of the earlier phases across southern and western districts, this phase was meticulously designed to traverse the northern and north-western regions of Tamil Nadu, covering Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tiruvannamalai, and Vellore. Stalin emphasized that the core philosophy of Namakku Naame remained direct, unmediated communication with common citizens away from conventional political rostrums and staged party rallies. Dressed in informal attire and walking through market streets, agricultural fields, bus stands, and village squares, Stalin sought to listen intently to public aspirations and document local community grievances. He stated that the feedback gathered from daily wage labourers, small traders, students, and marginalized groups would form the direct empirical cornerstone of the DMK's forthcoming election manifesto. Stalin declared that Namakku Naame had evolved from a political outreach initiative into a vibrant popular movement to liberate Tamil Nadu from AIADMK misrule and restore democratic, progressive governance.
