Marking a landmark achievement in political mobilization in November 2015, DMK Treasurer M. K. Stalin celebrated the completion of a monumental phase of his statewide grassroots campaign, Namakku Naame. Travelling over eleven thousand kilometres across thirty-one districts and two hundred and twelve assembly constituencies, Stalin connected directly with diverse cross-sections of Tamil Nadu society. Ditching traditional motorcade politics, he walked through village markets, agricultural fields, small-scale industrial clusters, and college campuses, engaging in unscripted dialogues with farmers, weavers, entrepreneurs, students, and self-help group women. Stalin noted that everywhere he travelled, citizens voiced deep disillusionment with the inaccessible and corrupt AIADMK administration, yearning for progressive governance and employment opportunities. He emphasized that the massive public reception accorded to Namakku Naame signaled an irreversible desire for political change. Reaffirming the DMK's historic commitment to social justice and economic modernization, Stalin declared that the collective energy of the people and the party would dismantle misrule and usher in a prosperous new dawn for Tamil Nadu in the upcoming assembly elections and re-establishing the state as a beacon of progressive governance, industrial leadership, and inclusive social welfare.
