Honoring a heartfelt personal invitation extended by indigenous hill dwellers, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin traveled up the winding roads of the Pachaimalai hills in Tiruchirappalli district to meet directly with tribal villagers in their remote settlements. Stalin expressed immense personal joy at interacting with the innocent, hardworking tribal communities who had lived in geographical isolation for generations, listening attentively to their daily struggles regarding lack of paved motorable roads, absent electricity connections, deficient primary healthcare centers, and acute drinking water scarcity.

Tribal elders and youth recounted that while successive DMK governments under Kalaignar Karunanidhi had created tribal welfare boards, constructed tribal residential schools, and conferred community forest rights, five years of AIADMK misgovernance had reduced hill development to absolute zero. Key welfare schemes were discontinued, ration supplies were erratic, and pregnant women had to be carried on cloth stretchers due to absent ambulance connectivity. Stalin assured the Pachaimalai residents that their community development would receive urgent priority under an incoming DMK government, promising solar home lighting, all-weather ghat roads, modern mobile health units, and remunerative cooperative marketing support for minor forest produce.
