Addressing an immense gathering of citizens, party cadres, and civil society volunteers in Chennai, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin declared that the overwhelming turnout at the massive public demonstration was an unmistakable sign that the people of Tamil Nadu had resolved to overthrow the anti-people AIADMK regime. Stalin stated that five years of administrative secrecy, rampant corruption, unaddressed agrarian distress, and the criminal mishandling of natural calamities had pushed public tolerance to its absolute limit.
Stalin observed that citizens from all walks of life, including homemakers crippled by domestic inflation, youth denied employment opportunities, distressed farmers, and flood-ravaged families, had spontaneously converged to register their democratic fury against Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's indifferent governance. He pointed out that the massive demonstration demonstrated that political change was no longer a mere electoral contest, but a collective popular uprising to restore democracy, transparency, and social justice. Stalin commended the discipline and passion of the assembled thousands, asserting that the democratic tide in Tamil Nadu had turned decisively against the ruling establishment. He vowed that the DMK alliance would channel this popular energy into an unstoppable electoral victory to re-establish compassionate governance.
