Paying solemn ideological homage to the immortal martyrs of the historic anti-Hindi imposition agitations, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin participated in the poignant silent peace procession and massive Veeravanakkam public rally organized in Tiruchirappalli. Marching alongside thousands of party cadres, veterans of the linguistic movement, and democratic citizens, Stalin observed the sacred remembrance day dedicated to honoring the supreme sacrifices of heroic martyrs like Keezharoor Chinnasamy, Viralimalai Shanmugam, and Sivaganga Muthu, who laid down their lives to defend Tamil linguistic identity and self-respect.
Stalin recalled that the anti-Hindi agitations spearheaded by the DMK under Perarignar Anna were pivotal watershed moments in Indian federal history, ensuring that the hegemony of a single language was defeated and constitutional linguistic equality was fiercely defended. He warned that authoritarian central forces were once again attempting surreptitious backdoor impositions of Sanskrit and Hindi through educational policies, threatening the linguistic plurality of the nation. Stalin criticized the ruling AIADMK for subserviently compromising Tamil pride to appease central masters. He asserted that the DMK remains an uncompromising sentinel of the two-language policy and Tamil cultural autonomy, vowing to defend vernacular linguistic rights with unwavering ideological resolve.
