Engaging directly with aggrieved urban residents and local business owners, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive community dialogue in Ambattur, meeting families residing on temple endowment lands, followed by an interactive meeting with small and medium enterprise (SME) industrialists. Residents living on temple lands explained their decades-long ordeal of living in fear of eviction, unable to secure basic municipal building approvals, bank loans, or drinking water connections due to unresolved tenancy and patta titling disputes.
Stalin assured the residents that an incoming DMK administration would establish a dedicated ministerial committee to formulate a fair, permanent resolution, conferring land ownership pattas upon long-term occupants while ensuring compensatory revenue protections for temple trusts. Subsequently meeting with engineering and fabrication SME entrepreneurs in the Ambattur industrial estate, Stalin listened to severe grievances regarding crippling power blackouts, arbitrary property taxes, and lack of waste treatment infrastructure under AIADMK tenure. Stalin pledged that the DMK would ensure uninterrupted industrial power, provide concessional credit packages, upgrade industrial estate roads and drainage, and eliminate bureaucratic harassment. He affirmed that the DMK remains committed to protecting working-class homes and revitalizing manufacturing enterprises across Tamil Nadu.
