Strengthening his direct grassroots engagement with women entrepreneurs, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin participated in an extensive interactive session with hundreds of women self-help group members in Madhavaram during his Namakku Naame campaign tour. Stalin listened attentively to the practical challenges voiced by members representing tailoring units, small catering enterprises, handicrafts cooperatives, and neighborhood grocery stores, who described how their livelihoods were suffocated by high interest rates, lack of marketing infrastructure, and indifference from state cooperative banks.

Stalin highlighted that five years of AIADMK rule had turned self-help groups into hollow ceremonial entities, depriving them of the vibrant government procurement linkages that thrived during previous DMK governance. He reminded the gathering that the DMK considers women's economic self-reliance the foundational pillar of the Dravidian social justice movement. Stalin assured the women of Madhavaram that an incoming DMK administration would completely revitalize grassroots microfinance, providing interest-free working capital loans up to five lakh rupees for registered groups, introducing modern technology training, and reserving exclusive stalls for women's products in public bus terminals and commercial hubs. He called upon women to lead the electoral charge for democratic renewal.
