Stalin announced the successful release and safe return of 287 impoverished Tamil laborers who were languishing in Andhra Pradesh prisons. Stalin recalled his extensive interaction with the marginalized tribal families of the Kalvarayan Hills during his historic Namakku Naame statewide journey, where weeping mothers and wives described how their sole breadwinners were lured by unscrupulous timber contractors and subsequently arrested under harsh forest conservation laws across the state border.

Stalin highlighted that during his visit to the remote tribal hamlets, he had given his solemn personal word to the distraught families that the DMK would stand by them and deploy all legal and financial resources necessary to secure their release. True to that commitment, the DMK legal wing fought tenaciously across various judicial forums, providing bail bonds, legal representation, and travel assistance to reunite the 287 freed laborers with their families. Stalin stated that public service is about honoring promises made to the most vulnerable citizens. He pledged that a DMK administration would create local agro-forestry livelihoods to prevent forced distress migration from tribal hill tracts.
