Mounting a comprehensive indictment of the ruling party's governing record, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin called out the AIADMK administration for breaking more than eighty percent of its electoral commitments made to the people in 2011. Presenting detailed documentation comparing election manifesto promises with actual administrative delivery, Stalin exposed how key assurances regarding youth employment, uninterrupted industrial power supply, agrarian welfare, and civic infrastructure remained entirely unfulfilled as the government completed its full five-year term.
Stalin focused particular criticism on Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's habitual practice of making grandiose policy pronouncements on the floor of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly under Rule 110. He pointed out that hundreds of schemes announced under Rule 110 with immense self-congratulatory publicity, ranging from monorail transit systems and satellite cities to district IT parks and cold storage hubs, existed solely on paper without budgetary allocations, government orders, or physical execution on the ground. Stalin remarked that reducing governance to empty paper announcements was an unconscionable betrayal of legislative trust and public expectations. He asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu had recognized this deception and were resolved to elect an accountable DMK government.
